Local DescriptionThis beautiful book starts with the Native Americans who first called America their home, to the millions who followed, whether freely or in chains, whether escaping persecution or poverty. This motley crew brought their determination, their stories, art, music and cultures. We Came to America celebrates diversity. Author descriptionFaith Ringgold was born in Harlem in 1930.
