Bruce Lee: The Authorized Visual History
Author(s): Carlton Books (Compiled by); Shannon Lee (Foreword by); Steve Kerridge
Bruce Lee: The Authorized Visual History will be the biggest illustrated
book ever to be authorized by his estate. Bruce Lee was instrumental in
the global popularity of martial arts, and he is still the most famous
martial artist in the world, some 40 years after his death in 1973. He
appears in UFC video games, he has ranges of branded clothing and
other goods, and his movies are constantly being re-issued to
audiences hungry for more. But Bruce was a man of action in all
aspects of his life. Before he made a name for himself in Seattle, USA
he had appeared in nearly 20 Hong Kong movies. He wrote poetry and
philosophy as well as film ideas and scripts. This book shows the whole
of Bruce Lee's life in photographs, all sourced from the extensive Lee
family archives. Bruce himself was a prolific photographer and took
thousands of photographs, from time spent with his family and on set to
intensive training and martial arts demonstrations. This book gathers all
the best images, from the classic, best known theatrical poses to the
previously undiscovered and never before published.
