Kris Needs is a former NME journalist and Zigzag editor. He has written several rock biographies including Joe Strummer and the Legend of the Clash, The Scream: The Music Myths and Misbehaviour of Primal Scream and Trash! The Complete New York Dolls. His acclaimed autobiography, Needs Must is scheduled for reissue in an expanded edition in 2011. He is a regular contributor to Record Collector and Mojo. Dick Porter has gone on to write several rock biographies including Trash! and The Cramps: A Short History of Rock'n'Roll Psychosis. He is a regular contributor to the award winning Mudkiss website.
