Scholastic Short Reads

Short Reads Fiction Boxes each provide 40 short, fiction texts at beginning-reader levels. Teachers follow comprehensive notes that guide small groups through Pre Reading questions, During Reading questions (comprehension/phonics and vocabulary/text structure/critical thinking skills), and After Reading activities (discussion prompts and writing activities). They are designed to engage students in re-reading for different purposes in order to achieve deep comprehension levels.
