Tasmanian cricketer Charlie Eady is best known for his colossal score of 566 for Break O'Day against Wellington in 1901-02, but his life extended far beyond that single performance.

Eady was a cricketer who represented Australia, a talented performer in many sports and a capable administrator. He was also a lawyer and politician; the grandson of a convict who became of of Tasmania's most famous citizens.
