The WordFlyers Grammar for Writing series is designed to improve students’ writing skills by closely focusing on word, clause, phrase and sentence-level grammar, and then demonstrating how students can use these essential skills in their own writing. Each two-page unit contains a tutorial on the topic, tests essential skills with a range of activities and then provides an opportunity for students to apply the skills in a short writing task that has a specific audience, purpose and form. This title also includes units on punctuation and paragraph writing skills that will help students to write clearly and accurately. The three short skills tests will assess students’ understanding of the topics and the comprehensive answer section is provided to support student learning. The content in this title closely follows the approach of teaching grammar and punctuation presented on WordFlyers, Blake eLearning’s interactive literacy website.
